Perambur Perumal Kovil History of the Temple

Sree Venkatesa Perumal Temple, Perambur - Introduction

Sree Venkatesa Perumal Temple was built in the area of 10,000 Square Feet., by Sri Ramanuja Bhakatha Jana Sabha and promoted by Sree Venkateswara Trust. This temple was consecrated by His Holiness Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Srimannarayana Ramanuja Jeer Swamigal on 12th June 1992 and was made open to public worship. With the continued support of devotees, a three-tier Rajagopuram has been completed in the year 2003. In addition to this, the Moolasthanam has been renovated by fixing granite slabs. A new "Vaikunta Vasal" has been fixed with moorthies of Dasavatharam on its doors.  The temple has been given a face lift with various other additions / alteration works, well suited for the convenience of devotees.

The Second Samprokshanam (Kumbabishekam) was performed in august presence of his holiness Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Sirmannanarayana Ramanuja Jeer Swamigal on 7th April 2003 for the Rajagopuram, Moolasthanam and other vimanams. In the last 22 years, the temple has gained wide popularity all over chennai and thereabouts, because of fullfillment of devotees prayers by the Almighty Sree Venkatesa Perumal. With the support of the devotees and patrons, the temple saw vast improvements. Apart from Sri Venkatesa Perumal Sannadhi, we have sannadis for Sri Padmavathi Thayaar, Sri Andal, Sri Chakkarathazhwar, Yoga Narsimhar, Sri Anjaneyar, Sri Ramanujar and Sri Thirumalai Vinayagar. A spacious mandapam viz. Dasavathara Mandapams (Abishekams) which are performed for Sri Perumal Utchavar, Thaayar Utchavar, besides all the Alwars and Acharyas. Annual Thirunachahiram days are celebrated in a grand manner. Religious discourses are conducted frequently. Bhajans including Srirama Bhajans are conducted every week. Regual Divya Prabanda Sevas are conducted in our temple, twice a day. Sri Perumal Moolavar Thirumanjanam takes place on Thiruvonam Star days in every month. 

The third SAMPROKSHANAM, in accordance with Pancharatha Agamam is scheduled to take place on Friday, 29th May 2015 between 7.30 am to 9.00 am in the rare immediate presence of Thirumalai Thirupathi Paramahamsethyathi Sri Sri Satakopa Ramanuja Periya Jeer Swamy's representative Thirumala Tirupathi Paramasethyathi Sri Sri Govindaramanuja Chinna Jeer Swamy and Sriperumbudur Embar Jeer Matadhipathi Srimath Paramahamsa Appan Parakala Ramanuja Embar Jeer Swamy.
